The Grateful Dead celebrated their 60th anniversary with a series of three shows at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, featuring Dead & Company led by surviving members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart. The late Jerry Garcia was honored with a street named after him in his hometown on what would have been his 83rd birthday. Opening acts Billy Strings, Sturgill Simpson, and Trey Anastasio Band joined the Dead onstage during the shows, drawing crowds of about 60,000 each night. The performances included extended versions of classic Dead songs and paid tribute to the band's legacy in American music.
