RIAJ Announces Latest Streaming Certifications in Japan: BTS, IZ*ONE, and TWICE Achieve Platinum Status

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has recently announced its latest certifications for online streaming of songs. In 2020, RIAJ introduced a new certification system for streaming, alongside its existing systems for physical album shipments and digital downloads. Under this new system, songs are certified silver at 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, and platinum at 100 million streams. This month, BTS's "Yet To Come," IZ*ONE's "Panorama," and TWICE's MISAMO's "NEW LOOK" were all certified platinum in Japan for exceeding 100 million streams each.
Additionally, BTS's "Love Maze" and aespa's Karina's "UP" received gold certifications for surpassing 50 million streams in Japan. Congratulations to all the artists on their achievements!
