Fab4 Café Launches In My Life Memory Café: A Musical Journey Through the 1960s

The In My Life Memory Café is set to open at the Fab4 Café located at the Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal at the Pier Head. This café will serve as a welcoming community space where visitors can engage in conversations, share experiences, and reminisce through music and creative activities. Utilizing music from the 1960s and the era of Beatlemania, the initiative aims to facilitate discussions and spark memories. Activities at the café will include games, crafts, and group activities inspired by the decade.

Research conducted by music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins revealed that 87 percent of individuals living with dementia experienced an improved quality of life through music therapy. The Beatles Story is introducing the new café to extend these benefits to the people of Liverpool. Sessions at the café will be priced at £1 per person and will include refreshments like tea, coffee, and biscuits. All necessary activity materials will be provided, and there is no requirement for pre-booking.

This project is a part of The Beatles Story's broader community and sustainability efforts, following the attraction's receipt of a silver Green Tourism award in 2025 as it strives towards achieving gold status. Stay updated on all things Northern on our new platform, The Northern Guide.
