Leading the nominations this year are Sinners with a record-breaking 16 nominations, followed by One Battle After Another with 13 noms, Sentimental Value with 8 noms, and Hamnet with 8 noms. Notably, nine individuals received their first-time acting nominations, including Michael B. Jordan, Wagner Moura, Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Renate Reinsve, Jacob Elordi, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Wunmi Mosaku, and Teyana Taylor.
Emma Stone made history as the youngest person and the only woman to be nominated for acting and Best Picture for the same film twice, following her dual nods for Bugonia (2025) and Poor Things (2023). Timothée Chalamet also achieved a milestone by becoming the youngest person at age 30 to receive nominations for both Best Actor and Best Picture in the same year for Marty Supreme.
