BTS THE CITY: ARIRANG SEOUL - A Grand Celebration of BTS' Return with Immersive Music and Art Experience

BTS has made a grand return with their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, and they are celebrating by transforming Seoul into a citywide stage. The immersive project, BTS THE CITY: ARIRANG SEOUL, will run from March 20 to April 12, 2026, featuring music, public art, and shared spaces throughout the city. The highlight of the project will be a free BTS concert at Gwanghwamun Square.
ARIRANG, released on March 20, 2026, is BTS' first full-length album since Proof in 2022. The album consists of 14 tracks that explore themes of identity, distance, and reunion, reflecting the group's journey in recent years. Instead of traditional music shows, BTS has opted for a more open and public format, inviting fans and the city to join in the celebration.
BTS THE CITY is a collaborative fan experience with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, featuring interactive installations, media art, and public listening spaces at various locations across Seoul. Landmarks like Sungnyemun Gate and Seoul Tower will be illuminated as media façades, while Yeouido Hangang Park will host lounge-style listening events near the Han River.
The main event of the project is BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, a free concert scheduled for March 21, 2026, at Gwanghwamun Square. The concert will showcase songs from ARIRANG, including the title track, and will be livestreamed globally on Netflix. Fans can attend in person with assigned seats or standing zones, or watch the live stream online.
BTS' decision to hold a free concert in a public space like Gwanghwamun Square highlights their commitment to connecting with fans and creating shared experiences. Following the concert, BTS will embark on a world tour with over 80 shows planned across continents, demonstrating their global impact beyond music. ARIRANG and BTS THE CITY signify not just a return to the stage for BTS, but an invitation for fans to come together in a shared space, both physically and emotionally.
