Attachment Parenting: Eddie Murphy and Eva Longoria Team Up for New Comedy Project

Eddie Murphy and Eva Longoria are set to star in a new comedy project called Attachment Parenting, which has been acquired by Amazon MGM. The film is based on a short story by Julianna Baggott and will be produced by Murphy and Longoria's production companies, along with John Davis of Davis Entertainment. The story follows a psychologist couple whose parenting philosophy is tested when they are forced to counsel a crime boss's dysfunctional family while being held hostage at a hotel. The project is still in the early stages of development, with no writer or director attached yet.

Julianna Baggott, a bestselling novelist and writer, has a Hollywood component to her work and has founded the production company Mildred's Moving Picture Show. She has several projects in development, including Backwards, The Hider, and Except You. Eddie Murphy has been a regular on Amazon, starring in hits like Pickup and Candy Cane Lane. Longoria, who appeared in Pickup alongside Murphy, has also been part of Amazon's Christmas movie Oh. What. Fun. John Davis, who produced Pickup and Murphy's documentary Being Eddie, has been involved in other projects like Predator: Badlands and Predator: Killer of Killers.

Murphy is represented by WME, ML Management, and Ziffren Brittenham, while Longoria is represented by WME, Linden Entertainment, and Yorn, Levine. Baggott is represented by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, and BFBST. The collaboration between Murphy, Longoria, and Davis on Attachment Parenting marks a reunion for the trio, who previously worked together on Amazon's The Pickup. The project promises a nostalgic feel reminiscent of classic studio comedies and is expected to bring a fresh and entertaining take on the challenges of parenting in a unique setting.
