2026 DGA Awards: Celebrating Excellence in Film, TV, and Commercials

The 2026 DGA Awards are set to honor outstanding directors in film, TV, and commercials. The event, hosted by Kumail Nanjiani, will feature nominees like Paul Thomas Anderson, Ryan Coogler, Guillermo Del Toro, Josh Safdie, and ChloƩ Zhao vying for the top prize. The ceremony will also recognize first-time feature filmmakers and present special honors to industry professionals like David Charles and Gregory McCollum.
The nominees for outstanding directorial achievement in theatrical feature film include Paul Thomas Anderson for "One Battle After Another," Ryan Coogler for "Sinners," Guillermo Del Toro for "Frankenstein," Josh Safdie for "Marty Supreme," and ChloƩ Zhao for "Hamnet." The winners will be announced live during the event.
In addition to the feature film category, the DGA Awards will also celebrate directors in various TV categories. Special honors will be given to associate director/stage manager David Charles and assistant director Gregory McCollum. The event marks the first show under the leadership of new DGA president Christopher Nolan.
