Review of Altercation in Winthrop vs. High Point Women's Basketball Game
The Big South Conference is currently reviewing an incident that occurred during a women's basketball game between Winthrop and High Point. In the final moments of the game, a player from Winthrop, Tocarra Johnson, was seen throwing punches at a High Point player after being closely guarded. The altercation was quickly halted by officials, and there were no apparent retaliatory punches from the High Point team.
