The Toronto Argonauts have secured the services of Janarion Grant, an American returner, by re-signing him before he could hit free agency. Grant showcased his skills in 15 games for the Argonauts in 2025, accumulating impressive stats in kick and punt returns, as well as receiving and rushing yards. The 32-year-old standout was recognized as the league’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player and an All-CFL honouree in 2024, his debut season with the team. Grant's stellar performance helped the Argos clinch the Grey Cup that year.
Hailing from Fort Trilby, Fla., Grant previously played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he earned accolades and won two Grey Cups. Throughout his career, Grant has proven to be a dynamic return specialist, amassing significant yards and touchdowns in punt and kick returns, as well as showcasing his versatility in rushing and receiving.
