Clayface: DC Universe's Body Horror Movie Release Date Pushed to October 2026

Warner Bros. has decided to push back the release date of the upcoming body horror movie, Clayface, which is part of the DC Universe created by James Gunn and Peter Safran. The new release date for Clayface is now set for October 23, 2026, just in time for Halloween, instead of the original date of September 11, 2026.
Clayface is a body horror thriller that revolves around a B-movie actor who resorts to injecting himself with a substance to maintain his relevance in Hollywood. The film is based on the DC Comics character with shape-shifting abilities, originally created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane.
While Clayface is traditionally known as a Batman villain in the DC Comics universe, it remains unclear if the Dark Knight will make an appearance in the movie. Despite no official confirmation or casting announcement for the role of Batman in the DC Universe, there have been subtle hints in set photos, like a dilapidated building labeled as the "Wayne Community Center," suggesting Batman's influence in the story.
Directed by James Watkins, Clayface stars Tom Rhys Harries in the lead role of the titular Batman villain. The screenplay for the film is penned by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. Watkins, known for his work on films like Eden Lake, The Woman in Black, Bastille Day, and Speak No Evil, brings his expertise to this thrilling adaptation.
