Viva La Madness": A Star-Studded Action-Thriller Film in the Making
Production has begun on the action-thriller film "Viva La Madness" in London, with a star-studded ensemble cast joining lead actor Jason Statham. The cast includes Vinnie Jones, Jason Isaacs, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Ben Foster, Jonny Lee Miller, and Raúl Alejandro. Some of these actors have previously worked with director Guy Ritchie on other projects.
"Viva La Madness" is based on a novel by JJ Connolly, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ritchie. While the plot of the film is currently undisclosed, it is known that the story is a stand-alone original work, not a direct sequel to any previous material. Connolly's debut novel, "Layer Cake," was previously adapted into a film in 2004.
This project marks the fifth collaboration between Vinnie Jones and Guy Ritchie, with Jones having appeared in films like "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels." Babs Olusanmokun is working with Ritchie for the second time, following their collaboration on "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." Jonny Lee Miller also recently starred in a film directed by Ritchie.
"Viva La Madness" was developed by Jason Statham's Punch Palace Productions and Thomas Benski's Lumina Studios, in partnership with Guy Ritchie's Toff Guy Films and John Friedberg's Black Bear. The film will be distributed domestically by Black Bear and internationally by Amazon MGM Studios.
The cast members are represented by various agencies, including Elevate, Strand Entertainment, Gersh, Independent Talent Group, Markham, Froggatt, and Irwin, CAA, Luber Roklin Entertainment, Range Media Partners, and UTA.
