Kelly Clarkson's New Chapter: Balancing Family and Creativity

Kelly Clarkson has made the decision to step away from her daytime talk show to focus on a new chapter in her life. She is looking forward to having more flexibility to spend time with her children and pursue creative projects at her own pace. The Grammy winner announced that the current season of The Kelly Clarkson Show will be its last, after seven successful seasons. Clarkson expressed her gratitude for the team she worked with and the support from NBC in a statement shared on Instagram.

The decision to leave the show will allow Clarkson to prioritize her two children, River and Remington, whom she shares with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The singer filed for divorce from Blackstock in 2020 and won primary custody of their children in 2020. After settling their divorce in 2022, Blackstock was ordered to leave Clarkson's Montana ranch by June 2022. In the summer of 2023, Clarkson and her children moved to New York ahead of the fifth season of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Tragically, Brandon Blackstock passed away from cancer in August 2025 at the age of 48. The family's representative confirmed the news and asked for privacy during this difficult time. Clarkson is now focusing on her children and her future endeavors, including making music and occasional appearances on projects she enjoys. This new phase in her life is about finding balance and being present for her family while continuing to pursue her passion for creativity and performance.
