Classic Rock Extravaganza: Record Store Day 2026 Releases Revealed

The upcoming Record Store Day in 2026 promises a plethora of classic rock releases from iconic artists like Robert Plant, Neil Young, and John Lennon. Plant's new studio EP, "Saving Grace: All that Glitters," features four new tracks from his collaboration with Suzi Dian, with only 3,500 limited-edition copies available. Young's Live Album with the Chrome Hearts will be released as a 2LP clear vinyl package, limited to 6,900 copies, while Sean Ono Lennon presents "Love Meditation Mixes," offering re-imagined versions of his father's classic ballad "Love" in a special 4,500 copy run in the U.S.
The Record Store Day releases are categorized as exclusives, RSD first, and limited or regional runs. Exclusive releases include Alice Cooper's limited-edition picture disc edition of "The Revenge of Alice Cooper" and a series of three-inch Rolling Stones discs. The exclusives also feature LPs from Black Sabbath, Foreigner, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, and Van Halen, among others.
Compilations for this year include the "Rock and Roll Doctor: Lowell George Tribute Album," featuring artists like Bonnie Raitt, Randy Newman, and Willie Nelson. Doors drummer John Densmore collaborates with Chuck D of Public Enemy on the offbeat release "No Country for Old Men," which includes the Record Store Day Song of the Year, "Every Tick Tick Tick."
The U.K. edition of Record Store Day will also take place on April 18, with exclusive vinyl releases supporting War Child. Fleetwood Mac, The Cure, and Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris are among the artists featured in the U.K. releases.
