Mayday: Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh Star in Apple TV's Action-Packed Film
Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh are set to star in the new Apple TV film Mayday, which has just released a first-look image. The movie follows a soldier who crash-lands his plane in the Russian wilderness during a mission gone awry. The exclusive release will be on Apple's streaming platform, and the image shows the characters played by Branagh and Reynolds lying in the snow with distressed expressions.
Joining the cast are Maria Bakalova, Marcin Dorociński, Lovell Adams-Gray, Clark Johnson, Alex Mallari Jr., Louis Cancelmi, and Alex Ozerov. Directing the film are Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, known for their work on various films like Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Vacation, and Game Night. They have also collaborated on Spider-Man: Homecoming and are set to work on the next Star Trek movie.
Reynolds, in addition to his acting role, is also a producer on the film alongside Goldstein, Daley, and others. He has previously starred in popular movies like Deadpool, Detective Pikachu, and Free Guy. Branagh, with a long and successful career, has acted in and directed numerous acclaimed films, including Murder on the Orient Express and Dunkirk. He won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2021 for Belfast.
