Return To Sin City: Lucinda Williams' Soulful Tribute to Gram Parsons

In 2004, Gram Parsons' daughter Polly organized two tribute concerts in California to honor her late father. The concerts featured a lineup of well-known musicians such as Keith Richards, Norah Jones, Lucinda Williams, and more, with the aim of supporting the Musicians Assistance Programme. The Los Angeles concert was recorded and later released as a DVD titled "Return To Sin City – A Tribute to Gram Parsons" in the following year.
One of the standout performances from the tribute concerts was Lucinda Williams' rendition of "A Song For You" from Parsons' debut solo album "GP" (1973). Williams' soulful interpretation of the song, accompanied by James Burton's exquisite guitar work and Jim Lauderdale's harmonious vocals, captured the essence of Parsons' Southern roots and musical legacy.
The tribute concert showcased a classic act performing a timeless song with a stellar band, creating a memorable and heartfelt tribute to Gram Parsons.
