John Driskell Hopkins: Battling ALS with Music and Hope

In a June 2025 interview, John Driskell Hopkins, a founding member of the Zac Brown Band, discussed his battle with ALS, which he was diagnosed with in December 2021. Despite his diagnosis, Hopkins remains an active member of the band and even released a solo song titled "I Love You Forever" in the past year. Together with his wife, he has founded the ALS foundation "Hop on a Cure." The Zac Brown Band is currently performing at the Sphere in Las Vegas until January 17.
