Cleveland Browns Head Coach Search: Meet the Candidates

The Cleveland Browns are in the process of interviewing candidates for their head coach position. Kevin Stefanski, who had been with the team for six seasons, was recently released after a disappointing 5-12 season. Among the confirmed candidates being interviewed for the job are Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher. Pitcher, 38, has been with the Bengals for 10 seasons and served as offensive coordinator for the past two seasons. He helped lead the Bengals to the top of the NFL in passing yards per game in 2024.

Another candidate being interviewed by the Browns is Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde. Durde, 46, has been with the Seahawks for two seasons and previously worked as the defensive line coach for the Cowboys. The Browns also interviewed defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who has a wealth of experience as a defensive coordinator and head coach in the NFL. Schwartz, 59, previously served as head coach of the Detroit Lions and won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.

The Browns also interviewed offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, who joined the team's coaching staff in 2024 and took over playcalling duties in 2025. Rees, 33, is a young and promising coach who is being considered for the head coach position. The team is exploring various options to find the right candidate to lead the Browns to success in the upcoming seasons.
