The Whisper War: Marc Guggenheim's Sci-Fi Mystery Thriller Comic Series
Marc Guggenheim, known for his work on popular TV shows like Arrow and Carnival Row, is venturing into the world of comics with his upcoming sci-fi mystery thriller, The Whisper War. Teaming up with artist Sedat Oezgen, the five-issue series is set in the Shattered Realm, a planet called Imprimata, years after a devastating civil war that wiped out a third of the population. In the capital city of Apperax, a mysterious murder occurs, sparking an investigation by a retired cop who relies on intuition and a sense of déjà vu to crack the case.
Guggenheim, excited about this project, drew inspiration from Oezgen's art style and preferences to craft the story tailored to the artist's strengths. The creative team also includes colorist Carlos Cabrera, letterer Dave Sharpe, and designer Travis Escarfullery. The series is set to debut on February 10 as part of Amazon's Comixology Originals lineup.
