Florida State Seminoles Welcome Punter Daniel Hughes to Boost Special Teams

Florida State fans have a new punter to cheer for as New Mexico sophomore punter transfer Daniel Hughes has signed with the Seminoles. Hughes, a Ray Guy Award semifinalist, showcased his skills with an average of 45.4 yards per punt and impressive hangtime. With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Hughes brings experience and talent to the special teams unit.
Hughes, who previously played at City College of San Francisco, has a strong track record of punting inside the 20-yard line and limiting touchbacks. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 235 pounds, he adds size and power to his punting game. His addition to the team fills the gap left by the departure of Mac Chiumento and Brunno Reus, who transferred to Texas.
The Seminoles are looking to build a competitive roster for the upcoming season, with several players announcing their commitments to the team. The addition of Hughes adds depth and skill to the special teams unit, enhancing Florida State's overall performance on the field. With a strong recruiting class and experienced players like Hughes, the Seminoles are gearing up for an exciting season ahead.
