Netflix has announced that the highly anticipated Season 2 of Beef will premiere on April 2. The streaming platform confirmed the return of the anthology series, featuring a star-studded cast including Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny. The upcoming season will delve into the world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner, following a young couple who witness a disturbing altercation between their boss and his wife.
The first season of Beef, which premiered in 2023, received critical acclaim and numerous awards, including eight Emmy Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. The story centered around two strangers, portrayed by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, whose lives intersect after a road rage incident. The series creator, Lee Sung Jin, drew inspiration from his own personal experience with a similar event.
Season 2 of Beef will consist of eight 30-minute episodes, with Lee Sung Jin returning as the creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, and Jake Schreier will also serve as executive producers, with A24 as the studio behind the production. The new season promises to deliver more gripping storytelling and compelling performances from its talented cast.
