Florida State's Tight End Group Gains Depth with Addition of Desirrio Riles

Florida State's tight end group is undergoing significant changes for the upcoming season. Markeston Douglas has completed his eligibility, and Randy Pittman Jr. has entered the transfer portal. Despite retaining Landen Thomas, the Seminoles are adding Desirrio Riles from East Carolina through the portal. Riles, a junior transfer, had a productive 2025 season with 28 receptions for 362 yards and two touchdowns. He will bring experience and depth to the tight end position at Florida State.
Riles, a Florida native, was a three-star recruit when he signed with East Carolina in 2023. During his time with the program, he appeared in 37 games, starting in 15, and accumulated 45 catches for 475 yards and four touchdowns. Riles, who visited Florida State during his high school recruitment, will have one season of eligibility left to contribute to the Seminoles' offense.
Joining a group that includes Thomas, Chase Loftin, Xavier Tiller, and Corbyn Fordham, Riles adds versatility and skill to the tight end room. His experience and production at East Carolina make him a valuable addition to Florida State's roster. With his commitment, the Seminoles are poised to have a competitive and dynamic tight end group for the upcoming season.
