USC Trojans Boost Receiving Corps with Transfer Terrell Anderson

The USC Trojans recently added former NC State receiver Terrell Anderson to their roster through the transfer portal, providing a much-needed veteran pass catcher. Anderson, who has two seasons of eligibility left, was one of three transfer visitors hosted by USC over the weekend, along with Jontez Williams and Deven Bryant. The Trojans have shifted their approach in the transfer portal under general manager Chad Bowden, targeting players with proven production at the Power 4 level.

Anderson had a breakout sophomore season at NC State in 2025, showcasing his skills with 39 receptions for 629 yards and five touchdowns. With key players like Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane moving on, Anderson is expected to step in and make an immediate impact for USC in 2026. Known for his position versatility, the 6-foot-2, 204-pound receiver brings size and speed to the Trojans' offense. He will be complemented by returning players like Tanook Hines, Zacharyus Williams, and Corey Simms.

USC has seen success with transfers in the past, including former NC State safety Bishop Fitzgerald, who became a Consensus All-American in his lone season with the Trojans. The addition of Anderson adds depth and talent to the Trojans' receiving corps, thanks in part to the influence of inside receivers and tight ends coach Chad Savage. Savage's impact on USC's offense has been significant, with the tight end position playing a more prominent role this season under head coach Lincoln Riley.

The Trojans' recruiting efforts have also been bolstered by Savage's presence, as he has helped attract elite prospects to USC. Marqise Lee and Makai Lemon's success, including Lemon winning the Biletnikoff Award, highlights the positive changes in USC's offense. With Anderson's arrival and the continued development of the team's receiving options, USC looks poised for a strong 2026 season.
