Unveiled: Rare Posters from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Revealed by Artist Joshua Ecton

Unveiled online are some previously unseen posters for the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Directed by Zack Snyder, the movie features Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Artist Joshua Ecton has recently shared these unreleased posters on his website, offering fans a new look at the iconic characters.
Batman v Superman is part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), a shared cinematic universe that began with 2013's Man of Steel, also directed by Zack Snyder. Following its release, an extended version of the film, known as the Ultimate Edition, was released, adding 31 minutes of footage and earning an R-rating.
Rather than a direct sequel, Batman v Superman paved the way for the 2017 film Justice League, which faced significant production challenges and ultimately led to the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League in 2021. The DCEU has since expanded to include a variety of films, such as Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam!, Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Although the DCEU concluded with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures have launched a new shared universe called the DC Universe (DCU), overseen by James Gunn and Peter Safran. This new universe has already introduced projects like Creature Commandos Season 1, Superman, and Peacemaker Season 2, offering fans a fresh perspective on the DC Comics characters they love.
