Star-Lord Returns: A Cosmic Reunion in VisionQuest

Star-Lord is making a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surprising fans with his unexpected appearance in the upcoming series VisionQuest. This marks the first time Star-Lord will interact with Vision, played by Paul Bettany, in the MCU. VisionQuest, created by Terry Matalas, follows Vision's journey post-WandaVision as he grapples with his restored memories. The series will also feature MCU veterans James Spader and James D'Arcy reprising their roles as Ultron and Jarvis, along with Faran Tahir returning as Raza.

Joining the cast is Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff/Speed, the son of Vision and Wanda, whose soul inhabits the body of Thomas Shepherd. Additionally, several AIs created by Tony Stark, including E.D.I.T.H., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and D.U.M.-E, will play a role in VisionQuest. The series, consisting of eight episodes, is set to premiere on Disney+ in late 2026 as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.

Chris Pratt portrays Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the MCU, debuting in Guardians of the Galaxy and reprising the role in subsequent sequels and crossover films. Pratt's portrayal of Star-Lord has been a fan favorite, with multiple variants of the character appearing in the animated series What If...?. As fans eagerly anticipate Star-Lord's return in VisionQuest and his subsequent reunion with the Avengers in Avengers: Doomsday, the cosmic hero's journey continues to captivate audiences in the ever-expanding Marvel universe.
