Vintage Studio Equipment Auction: Own Gear Previously Owned by Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones

A collection of studio equipment previously owned by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones is currently up for auction. The auction is being managed by Soundgas, a UK company specializing in vintage and exotic electronic instruments and recording gear. Jones, who is still active in music, has decided to part ways with some of his studio equipment, believing that it should be in the hands of those who will make good use of it.
One of the notable items available for auction is a Thunderbass amplifier made by Guild, a US company acquired by Fender in 1995. This amp, used by Jones during his time with Them Crooked Vultures, suffered damage to its speakers while on loan at Dave Grohl's house. Despite its current condition, the untested amp is estimated to sell for £1,200 to £1,400. Additionally, a variety of rack-mounted equipment, AKAI digital samplers, Yamaha NS-10M speakers, a Simmons SDS V electronic drum kit, and an Arbiter Soundimension mechanical echo unit from the 1960s are also up for sale.
The studio equipment listed for auction comes from Jones's personal studio and was not utilized by Led Zeppelin. If you are interested in owning a piece of music history and vintage recording gear, this auction presents a unique opportunity to acquire equipment previously owned by a legendary musician.
