Major Cocaine Bust in Putnam County, Indiana: Two Arrested with $7 Million Worth of Drugs

Two individuals were arrested in Putnam County, Indiana, after a significant amount of cocaine, valued at $7 million, was discovered during a routine traffic stop. The Indiana State Police Putnamville District reported that a trooper pulled over a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 for a standard truck inspection. Upon observing suspicious behavior and receiving a positive alert from an ISP K-9 unit, the trooper conducted a search of the vehicle, uncovering 309 pounds of cocaine hidden in the sleeper berth. The two men, aged 25 and 30, both from California, were apprehended without resistance and taken to the Putnam County Jail. Charges of dealing narcotics have been filed against them, and ICE deportation holds have been placed on both individuals. The semi tractor-trailer was en route from Joplin, Missouri, to Richmond, Indiana.
