Unveiling Poison Ivy's Design in Absolute Batman: A Unique Interpretation of the Flora-Manipulating Supervillain

The design of Poison Ivy in the Absolute Batman comic series has been unveiled ahead of her appearance in Scott Snyder's upcoming issues #17 and #18. Fans are eagerly anticipating how the comic will portray this flora-manipulating supervillain, given its unique interpretation of Batman's rogues gallery.
Illustrator Björn Barends and East Coast Comics revealed the cover art featuring Poison Ivy on Instagram. The character is depicted with long hair adorned with feather-shaped leaves, intricate orange and green designs on her torso, and dark grey ankle and hand bracelets. Her appearance sets her apart from the traditional green look of Poison Ivy, with white feathers and human skin tones on her face and limbs contrasting with green plant skin on the lower parts.
Guest artist Eric Canete will collaborate with Scott Snyder on the two-part Poison Ivy storyline in Issues #17 and #18. In Issue #17, Poison Ivy seeks revenge on Gotham City after escaping from Ark-M, while Batman faces a series of gruesome challenges to save the city from the monster she has become. Issue #18 delves deeper into the horrors lurking in the city's foundations as the Joker's plans unfold.
Absolute Batman Issue #17 is set to release on February 11, 2026, followed by Issue #18 on March 11, 2026. The series, which began on October 9, 2024, presents a unique take on Batman's world, where a 24-year-old Bruce Wayne balances his life as a civil engineer and the caped crusader. Fans can look forward to an exciting and visually stunning portrayal of Poison Ivy in the upcoming issues of Absolute Batman.
