Maya Rudolph Shares Behind-the-Scenes Story of Unaired 'SNL' Sketch with Obama and Clintons

Maya Rudolph recently shared a story about a sketch that didn't make it to air on "SNL." The sketch involved her, Barack Obama, Amy Poehler, and Darrell Hammond portraying the Clintons and Obama at a Halloween party. The joke was that Obama's mask was mistaken for the real Obama. However, the sketch was cut during dress rehearsals in 2007.
Rudolph admitted that she didn't have a good impression of Obama at the time and recalled a funny interaction with him backstage. The sketch also featured other cast members playing different Democratic representatives. Ultimately, the episode aired a different sketch with Obama attending the party as himself, and Poehler as Hillary Clinton.
Maya Rudolph, known for her time on "SNL," has since moved on to star in the Apple TV+ comedy "Loot." The show follows the life of Molly Novak, played by Rudolph, after she divorces her husband and receives a massive settlement. Joel Kim Booster, who co-stars with Rudolph, praised her for giving him relationship advice during filming.
Rudolph's simple advice to Booster was to "chill out." Despite the sketch not making it to air, Rudolph's comedic talent and charm continue to shine in her various projects.
