Brian d’Arcy James Opens Up About Auditioning for Hazbin Hotel and Future Seasons Teasers
Brian d’Arcy James, known for his role in Shrek the Musical, recently shared in an interview that he had auditioned for a part in the popular series Hazbin Hotel but did not get the role. The Amazon Prime Video show features Broadway talents like Erika Henningsen and Jeremy Jordan. Despite not landing a role in the series, James expressed his interest in joining the cast.
Hazbin Hotel, which currently has two seasons available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, premiered its first season on January 19, 2024, and the second season on October 29, 2025. The show's success led to the creation of a spin-off series called Helluva Boss, set in the same fictional universe with a different set of characters.
Fans of Hazbin Hotel can look forward to the upcoming third and fourth seasons, which are currently in development. Showrunner Vivienne Medrano hinted at a similar wait for Season 3 as the previous seasons, with a possible release in 2027. Season 4 may follow shortly after, possibly in 2028. While plot details for the upcoming seasons remain under wraps, Medrano teased that Season 3 will focus heavily on romance, promising emotional and dramatic storylines for viewers to enjoy.
