Father's Quick Thinking Leads to Rescue of Abducted Teen: Arrest Made in Montgomery County Kidnapping Case

A 15-year-old girl who went missing after school was located in a pickup truck miles away from her home, thanks to her father tracking her phone. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office reported that Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23, of Porter, Texas, was arrested on charges of aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child. He is currently held at the Montgomery County Jail without bond.
Deputies responded to a kidnapping report in Porter, where the victim was abducted while walking her dog. The father used parental controls to track the victim's phone to a secluded area in Harris County, where he found his daughter and her dog in a truck with Espinoza. The father helped the girl escape from the vehicle.
Investigators revealed that Espinoza threatened the victim with a knife and took her from the street. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect's vehicle, leading to Espinoza's arrest. He was charged with aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child and remains in custody.
Sheriff Wesley Doolittle commended the deputies and detectives for swiftly apprehending the predator. The family expressed gratitude for their daughter's safe return and clarified that they had no prior knowledge of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities.
