Commemorating David Bowie: 'David Bowie In Time' Event at the British Library

The 10th anniversary of David Bowie's death will be commemorated at the British Library next month with a series of events titled 'David Bowie In Time'. The day will feature various activities, including an evening of music called 'Just A Cabaret' in the library's Entrance Hall. Blixa Bargeld, Nikko Weidermann, pianist Daniel Brandt, and Jehnny Beth will perform Bowie songs in this special event.

Tony Visconti, the producer of many classic Bowie records, will be in conversation with Nicholas Pegg, the author of The Complete David Bowie. Jehnny Beth will also participate in a discussion about 'Blackstar' with jazz saxophonist Donny McCaslin and album art designer Jonathan Barnbrook. Other talks and a screening of the documentary David Bowie: Five Years will also be part of the day's program.

Tickets for 'David Bowie In Time' are currently available for purchase. In a previous interview, Jehnny Beth shared how Bowie's death influenced her debut solo album 'To Love Is To Live'. She expressed her sadness at his passing and how it inspired her to create the record. Bowie's final years will be explored in upcoming documentaries, including Channel 4's 'The Final Act' and the BBC's 'Bowie In Berlin'.
