James Gunn Casts Lars Eidinger as Brainiac in Superman Sequel: Man of Tomorrow

James Gunn has selected Lars Eidinger to play the villain Brainiac in the upcoming sequel to Superman, titled Man of Tomorrow. Brainiac is a well-known Superman antagonist who first appeared in Action Comics No. 242 in 1958. The character is an intelligent alien who uses a shrink ray to shrink Metropolis and store it in bottles among other alien cities. David Corenswet will reprise his role as Superman, while Nicholas Hoult will portray Lex Luthor in the film. The release date for Man of Tomorrow is set for July 9, 2027, with James Gunn directing and writing the script, and producing alongside Peter Safran. Stay tuned for more updates on the movie.
