Tobe Hooper's Salem's Lot: A Classic Horror Mini-Series Returns in Stunning 4K UHD

In 1979, director Tobe Hooper created a two-part mini-series adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot, which aired on CBS and left viewers deeply unsettled with its vampire scenes. Decades later, Hooper's version continues to captivate horror fans, surpassing other adaptations of the novel. Arrow Video has announced a 4K UHD release of Tobe Hooper's Salem's Lot on March 30th in the UK and the 31st in the US and Canada.

The mini-series follows author Ben Mears, played by David Soul, as he returns to the town of Salem's Lot to write about the haunted Marsten House. The town is undergoing changes, with the arrival of the mysterious Richard Straker, played by James Mason, and his unseen partner Mr. Barlow, played by Reggie Nalder. As a series of deaths and disappearances occur, Ben suspects a vampire is preying on the town. Can he stop them, and will anyone believe him?

With a script by Paul Monash and a talented cast including Bonnie Bedelia, Fred Willard, Geoffrey Lewis, and Elisha Cook Jr., Tobe Hooper brings Stephen King's characters to life in a chilling and vivid manner. Arrow Video's 4K UHD release of Salem's Lot includes special features and technical specs for fans to enjoy.
