Embodying Springsteen: Actor Jeremy Allen White's Journey in 'Deliver Me From Nowhere

Actor Jeremy Allen White recently shared his experience of playing Bruce Springsteen in the biopic "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere." White revealed that Springsteen provided him with clothes and a guitar for the role. He mentioned that wearing Springsteen's clothes, including his tight jeans and boots, helped him embody the character physically. Springsteen also gave White some of his actual clothing from his youth, as well as a St Christopher medal and a 1955 Gibson J 200 guitar to learn to play.
In a conversation with actress Kate Hudson, who is set to star in a music film called "Song Sung Blue," White discussed Springsteen's involvement in the biopic. He mentioned that Springsteen gave the green light for the film but was hands-off during the writing process. White shared that he had the opportunity to spend time with Springsteen in London and on set, which was unexpected but valuable for his portrayal of the iconic musician.
White also talked about the musical aspect of the film, particularly focusing on Springsteen's album "Nebraska." He expressed his luck in having to learn only a few chords for the role and praised Springsteen's honesty and specificity in his songwriting. White described the experience of delving into the rich canvas of Springsteen's music as having a map to guide him in portraying the musician authentically.
