37th Annual PGA Awards Nominations: Celebrating Excellence in Sports, Children's, and Short-Form Programs

The Producers Guild of America has announced the nominations for the 37th annual PGA Awards, including categories for sports, children's, and short-form programs. Returning nominees include last year's winner "Sesame Street" in the children's program category, as well as "Formula 1: Drive to Survive" and "Hard Knocks" in the sports field, and "SpongeBob SquarePants" in the children's category. The winners will be revealed at the awards show on February 28.

The annual PGA ceremony celebrates the work of producers in film, television, and emerging media, recognizing outstanding achievements in the industry. Final polls for the sports, children's, and short-form categories will open on January 5 and close on January 19 at 2 p.m. PT. The ceremony will also honor producers like Amy Pascal, Mara Brock Akil, and Jason Blum with special awards.

The nominees for the sports category include "100 Foot Wave," "Big Dreams: The Little League World Series 2024," "Formula 1: Drive to Survive," "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills," and "Surf Girls: International." In the children's program category, nominees include "Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past," "Phineas and Ferb," "Sesame Street," "Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical," and "SpongeBob SquarePants." The short-form program nominees include "Adolescence: The Making of Adolescence," "The Daily Show: Desi Lydic Foxsplains," "Hacks: Bit By Bit," "Overtime with Bill Maher," and "The White Lotus: Unpacking the Episode."

The awards in these categories are presented to the production as a whole, not individual producers. The event chairs for the 2026 Producers Guild Awards are Mike Farah and Joe Farrell, with the ceremony produced by Anchor Street Collective. Branden Chapman serves as the executive producer, and Carleen Cappelletti as the co-executive producer.
