Montreal will be participating in its fifth outdoor game and its first in nine years. The Canadiens have a 2-2-0 record in outdoor contests, with wins against Edmonton in 2003 and a loss to the Flames in 2011. They have also played in the Winter Classic in 2016 and the NHL100 Classic in 2017.
