Spotify Wrapped 2025: Bad Bunny Reigns Supreme as Most-Streamed Artist Globally
The holiday season has arrived, and Spotify Wrapped is back to delight fans with end-of-year data and marketing insights. Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican superstar, has reclaimed the title of the most-played artist on the platform, surpassing Taylor Swift. Users can now explore their top artists, songs, genres, albums, and podcasts, as well as discover the biggest artists of the year.
In 2025, Bad Bunny emerged as the most-streamed artist globally, amassing over 19.8 billion streams. He surpassed Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish in the rankings. Swift had held the top spot for the past two years but was overtaken by Bad Bunny this year. In the U.S., Swift leads the most-streamed artist list, followed by Drake, Morgan Wallen, and Kendrick Lamar, with Bad Bunny in the fifth spot.
The most-streamed album globally was Bad Bunny's "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," followed by the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack and releases from Billie Eilish, SZA, and Sabrina Carpenter. In the U.S., Wallen's "I'm The Problem" topped the charts, followed by albums from SZA, Bad Bunny, and Kendrick Lamar.
The most-streamed song globally was Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga's "Die with a Smile," with over 1.7 billion streams. In the U.S., Lamar and SZA's "Luther" took the top spot, followed by other popular tracks.
Spotify Wrapped introduced new features this year, including "Top Albums," a fan leaderboard, and a "Listening Age" feature. The "Wrapped Party" allows users to compare their Wrapped with others. These additions enhance the user experience compared to previous years.
The global music industry relies heavily on streaming, with 84% of revenue in the U.S. coming from streaming services. Top artists featured on Spotify Wrapped benefit from their presence on influential playlists and dedicated fanbases. Independent artists aiming for global recognition would need to achieve billions of streams to compete with the biggest names in the industry.
