Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair - A Nostalgic Reboot Coming Soon to Hulu and Disney+

Hulu has unveiled a sneak peek of the upcoming reboot of the popular series Malcom in the Middle, featuring a nostalgic reference to the original show. The teaser showcases Malcolm getting his back shaved, reminiscent of a scene from the original series involving Hal and Lois. The reboot, titled Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, is a limited four-episode revival starring Frankie Muniz and set to premiere in 2026 on Hulu and Disney+.
The new series brings Malcolm back into the chaotic world of his parents, Hal and Lois, as they insist on his presence at their 40th-anniversary celebration. Despite his attempts to shield himself and his daughter from his dysfunctional family, Malcolm finds himself entangled in their lives once again. The revival reunites the original cast members, including Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Chris Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Emy Coligado, alongside new additions Keeley Karsten, Vaughan Murrae, Kiana Madeira, and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.
Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair is a production of Disney Branded Television and is brought to viewers by 20th Television and New Regency. The series is created by Linwood Boomer, who also serves as a writer and executive producer. The show's executive producers include Bryan Cranston, Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann. Ken Kwapis will direct all four episodes and serve as an executive producer, with Jimmy Simons and Laura Delahaye as co-executive producers.
