Commencing the 50th Anniversary Celebration: Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here Pop-Up Stores and Deluxe Box Set Release

Pink Floyd is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their iconic album, Wish You Were Here, with the launch of pop-up stores in London, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Paris. These stores, in partnership with Sony Music and News & Coffee, will offer exclusive merchandise, a limited anniversary pressing of the album, and a special edition of the Brain Damage fanzine. The Brain Damage fanzine is a revival of the original project by Glenn Povey, a well-known Pink Floyd author and historian. The announcement coincides with the upcoming release of the deluxe box set, Wish You Were Here 50, on December 12, featuring unheard versions of classic tracks in various formats like 3LP, 2CD, and Blu-ray sets.
In addition to the deluxe box set, comedian and artist Noel Fielding has created a series of paintings inspired by Syd Barrett for the reissue of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." Fielding acknowledges the significance of Pink Floyd's artwork, stating that it was as exceptional as the music itself. The pop-up stores and the deluxe box set release are part of the band's efforts to commemorate the enduring legacy of Wish You Were Here and engage fans in celebrating this milestone anniversary.
