Saskatchewan Roughriders Extend Grey Cup MVP Trevor Harris's Contract for 2026 Season

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have extended the contract of Grey Cup MVP Trevor Harris for one year. Harris led the team to their fifth Grey Cup Championship in 2025, showcasing his precision by completing 85.2% of his passes for 302 yards in the championship game. He was named the 2025 Grey Cup MVP for his outstanding performance. Throughout the season, Harris demonstrated consistency, throwing for 4,549 yards and 24 touchdowns, leading the league in completion percentage at 73.6%. He also received Player of the Month honors in July and October, as well as five weekly honors.
As he enters the 2026 season, Harris has impressive CFL career passing totals, ranking among the top in various categories. In 2024, he was named the West Division's All-CFL quarterback, setting a franchise single-season record for accuracy. Prior to joining the Roughriders, Harris played for the Montreal Alouettes and the Edmonton Elks, showcasing his talent and leadership on the field.
