Def Leppard, a legendary rock band with almost 50 years of history, continues to be a favorite in the United Kingdom. Their latest album, Diamond Star Heroes: Live From Sheffield, quickly became a bestseller in the U.K., narrowly missing the top spot on the charts. The album made its mark on four U.K. charts, with the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart being its best-performing, securing the second position.
Despite missing out on the No. 1 spot on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, Diamond Star Heroes marks Def Leppard's twenty-first top 10 success out of 24 total appearances on the chart. The album faced tough competition from Aerosmith and Yungblud's collaborative EP, One More Time, which claimed the top spot on both the rock chart and the main albums chart in the U.K.
While Diamond Star Heroes is Def Leppard's third project to reach the runner-up position on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, the band has previously achieved six No. 1 albums on the same chart. Diamond Star Halos, one of their previous releases, spent two weeks at the top of the chart out of its 30-week run.
Def Leppard has maintained a consistent presence on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart since 2019, with 2025 marking the seventh consecutive year of chart success. The band's latest album, Diamond Star Heroes, debuted within the top 40 on the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Album Downloads charts, showcasing their enduring popularity and appeal to fans across different formats.
