Update on Tara Reid Drugging Incident Investigation: No Criminal Act Found

The investigation into the alleged drugging incident involving actress Tara Reid at a hotel in the Chicago area has concluded that no criminal act was committed. Rosemont police reviewed surveillance footage from the Doubletree Hotel, which showed Reid at the bar but did not show anyone tampering with her drink. The bartender reportedly covered her drink when she left, a standard practice. The police are still waiting for hospital records and chemical testing results, and Reid has not received those results yet.
There is currently no specific individual being investigated in connection with the incident. The police emphasized the importance of never leaving a drink unattended and encouraged individuals to reach out to local authorities if they suspect they have been drugged or feel unsafe. TMZ previously reported that Reid was taken to the hospital after feeling ill from a drink she believes may have been tampered with. She alleged that her drink had a napkin covering it when she returned to the bar, which she did not do herself. Reid filed a police report several days later, and the investigation is ongoing.
