The European Film Market (EFM) at the Berlinale has announced an expanded program for its 2026 edition, scheduled from February 12-18. The new additions for 2026 include the introduction of EFM Animation Days, a three-day program focusing on animation creatives, studios, producers, buyers, financiers, and cross-IP partners. This initiative will feature curated showcases, pitch formats, case studies, workshops, and networking opportunities, with support from MDM Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung.
In addition to EFM Animation Days, the 2026 edition will also see the launch of EFM Beyond, a training program dedicated to innovative market strategies and cross-media collaboration. This program will bring together professionals from film, animation, gaming, and other creative sectors to explore new avenues for collaboration and revenue generation.
Furthermore, the Berlinale Film School Summit will host directing and producing students from leading film schools worldwide, providing them with access to workshops, masterclasses, and networking opportunities within the Berlinale Pro universe.
