St. Louis Blues Update: Injuries Sideline Snuggerud and Toropchenko, Kaskimaki Called Up

The St. Louis Blues have announced that forward Jimmy Snuggerud will undergo surgery for a left-wrist injury and will be placed on injured reserve for six weeks. Additionally, forward Alexey Toropchenko is listed as week-to-week due to leg burns from a home accident. To fill the roster gaps, the Blues have called up forward Aleksanteri Kaskimaki from the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds. Kaskimaki, a 21-year-old native of Finland, has shown promise with seven points in 16 games this season for the Thunderbirds. He was drafted by the Blues in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft. Snuggerud, 21, has contributed 11 points in 26 games this season, while Toropchenko, 26, has two points in 17 games. The team hopes for a swift recovery for both injured players.
