Keith Lee Partners with Minnie’s Food Pantry for 18th Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway in Plano, Texas
Keith Lee is teaming up with Minnie’s Food Pantry for their upcoming Thanksgiving event. The 18th Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway is set to take place on November 22 at Red Tail Pavilion in Plano, Texas. The event aims to provide full holiday meal boxes, including turkeys, to thousands of North Texas families facing food insecurity. Over 4,200 families have registered for the giveaway, reflecting the ongoing financial challenges many households are experiencing.
Dr. Cheryl “Action” Jackson, the founder of Minnie’s Food Pantry, emphasized the community impact of the event, highlighting the courage, resilience, and hope shown by those in need. The annual giveaway is made possible by the dedication of volunteers and partners who ensure that families have access to nourishing food during the holiday season. This year, 818 volunteers have contributed to event preparation, with support from major sponsors and local partners.
The event will feature live performances by Emerald City Band and food provided by Dillas Quesadillas and Dunkin’ Donuts for volunteers and families in line. Flex Etc. has provided additional storage space for the thousands of meal kits being prepared for the giveaway. Keith Lee’s involvement in the event, including a personal donation of $12,000 worth of turkeys, marks a significant collaboration that will help raise awareness of food insecurity in the community.
The giveaway schedule includes volunteer check-in at 6:30 a.m., orientation at 7 a.m., and meal distribution from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Minnie’s Food Pantry anticipates a record turnout for the event, with Lee’s partnership expected to bring increased visibility to families in need during the holiday season.
