Five Nights at Freddy’s 2: Unveiling Dark Secrets

The popular video game adaptation "Five Nights at Freddy’s" has become Blumhouse Productions' highest-grossing movie, surpassing other successful films and franchises. Following its success, a sequel is set to be released on December 5, 2025, with returning cast members and new additions like Skeet Ulrich joining the cast.

The first film follows a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza who faces animatronic terror during his night shift. In the sequel, a year later, dark secrets about the origin of Freddy's are revealed as a series of terrifying events unfold, involving former characters and new additions to the cast.

Returning stars from the first film include Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio, alongside new characters played by Freddy Carter, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, Teo Briones, and Skeet Ulrich. The film was originally set up at Warner Bros. before moving to Blumhouse, with Emma Tammi directing the sequel from a script by Scott Cawthon.

"Five Nights at Freddy’s 2" is produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon, with special effects by Jim Henson's Creature Shop bringing the animatronic animals to life on screen. Fans can watch the Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich "Scream Kings" featurette to get a glimpse of what's to come in the highly anticipated sequel.
