Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role, with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist, Kumbha. The teaser of the film, released on 15 November, featured Mahesh as Rudhra riding a bull through the streets of Varanasi. SS Rajamouli hinted at Mahesh portraying Lord Rama in a sequence that took 60 days to shoot. The film is set to release worldwide during Sankranthi 2027, promising an exciting cinematic experience for the audience.
