Experience the Magic of Ice Skating at the UPMC Rink at PPG Place in Pittsburgh
The ice rink at PPG Place in Downtown Pittsburgh has been nominated as one of the best in the country by USA Today's 10Best. The UPMC Rink at PPG Place officially opened, marking the start of Pittsburgh's holiday season. The tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 21 is part of the city's Light Up Night celebration, featuring a 66-foot-tall tree with 100,000 lights synchronized to music.
Located within Pittsburgh's PPG Place, the UPMC Rink offers a picturesque setting with views of the city's iconic buildings. Visitors can enjoy ice-skating sessions, sign up for lessons, or simply have fun on the ice. The rink is a popular winter destination, so it's recommended to book tickets in advance to avoid long lines.
Other nominees for the best ice skating rinks in the country include Curry Village Ice Rink at Yosemite National Park, the Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center, the Maggie Daley Park Ice Skating Ribbon in Chicago, and The Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Ohio also has three rinks on the list, including the UC Health Ice Rink in Cincinnati, the Riverside Crossing Park Ice Skating Rink in Dublin, and the Cleveland Foundation Ice Skating Rink.
Voting for the best ice skating rink will continue until Monday, Dec. 1, at noon, with the winners being announced on Friday, Dec. 13. Don't miss the chance to support the UPMC Rink at PPG Place and help it secure its spot as one of the top ice rinks in the country.
