The series kicks off on Sunday, November 16 at Pantheon Theatre with a screening of Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. This satirical take on Cold War logic and military bureaucracy sets the tone for the season.
On November 23, the classic Battleship Potemkin by Eisenstein will be shown in memory of Phedias Christodoulides, followed by Sidney Lumet's Network on November 30, a critique of television and capitalism that remains relevant today.
Luis Buñuel's The Exterminating Angel takes the stage on December 7, trapping bourgeois guests in a surreal loop of privilege and paralysis. The series concludes on December 14 with Asghar Farhadi's A Separation, a moral labyrinth exploring justice, duty, and emotion.
