Chico Ice Rink: Bigger and Better Than Ever!

The Chico Ice Rink is set to open today at City Plaza, boasting a 40 percent increase in size compared to previous years due to high attendance last season. Skaters can enjoy the larger rink starting at 3 p.m., with admission priced at $15 for walk-up skaters and $12 for those with advance tickets, which include skate rental. The rink will be open until January 4.

In addition to public skating sessions, the ice rink will host two winter leagues this season. A co-ed 3-on-3 hockey league will hit the ice on Tuesday nights from 8–10 p.m. until December 16, catering to players aged 16 and above. The league uses a different type of puck to accommodate the rink's non-traditional hockey setup. On Wednesdays from 8–10 p.m. until December 17, a broomball league will take to the ice.
